High Point — The Young Home Furnishings Professionals, an organization dedicated to attracting and keeping people under age 40 in the home furnishings industry, has become a division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance.
"YHFP brings excellent goals and objectives under the AHFA umbrella," said Andy Counts, CEO of the AHFA, a trade association mainly for manufacturers, importers and suppliers. "We look forward to providing valuable services and important networking opportunities to the young men and women of YHFP."
The YHFP annual membership fee for qualified individuals from non-AHFA member companies remains $25. Qualified employees of AHFA member companies now have complimentary YHFP membership as an added benefit.
YHFP members, whether affiliated with an AHFA member company or not, will have access to members-only areas of the AHFA Web site at www.ahfa.us.
"Our affiliation with AFHA means YFPA members can connect with influential companies in the home furnishings industry," said YHFP President Chip Wright of Leggett & Platt. "These benefits will help us continue to deliver unique learning and networking experiences to our members."
