Moretti gets new La-Z-Boy post

Monroe, Mich. — Former Jordan's Furniture executive Anthony Moretti has joined La-Z-Boy Inc. as vice president of merchandising, a new post.
Moretti, a 30-year industry veteran, will be responsible for assisting La-Z-Boy with fabric and frame selection, as well as the design and development of new products for La-Z-Boy's three non-branded upholstery companies, Bauhaus, Sam Moore and England.
"Tony has a wealth of experience and expertise in merchandising," said Rodney England, president of La-Z-Boy Non-Branded Upholstery. "We are fortunate to have such a creative individual on our team who will undoubtedly bring a unique approach to enhancing and influencing our product line, merchandising efforts and distribution channels for all three non-branded upholstery companies."
Moretti spent the past 20 years with big Northeast retailer Jordan's, where he was vice president of merchandising, responsible for the upholstery, leather, dining, occasional, home office and entertainment categories.
Prior to that, he was general merchandise manager at American Home Furnishings in Albuquerque, N.M.
He started his career with retailer Alpert's Furniture in Seekonk, Mass.
Moretti serves on the board of directors of the High Point Market Authority.
