Cates is Thomasville sales VP

Thomasville, N.C. — Thomasville has hired former Directions and Mitchell Gold sales executive Brad Cates as vice president of sales and retail development.

Cates most recently was vice president of sales at upholstery source Directions. He also has worked in publishing and as a brand manager at Calvin Klein.

"The individual, highly experienced contributions and enthusiasm for increased brand awareness that Brad brings to Thomasville will directly influence our continued growth and strength as an inspirational whole-home resource," said President and CEO Nancy Webster.

Cates replaces Kevin Bowman, who left in September to join Stanley Furniture as vice president of sales for Stanley Collections.
