Singer joins Strategic Decisions as executive VP

Thomasville, Ga. — Consumer research and consulting firm Strategic Decisions has hired Steve Singer as executive vice president, a new position at the company. He reports to Al Wight, president and founder.
Singer will be responsible for developing new research products for existing clients, adding new clients and offering consulting services. He will continue to work out of St. Louis, which extends the geographic reach of Strategic Decisions into the Midwest.
"Steve is a long-time friend and a past client of Strategic Decisions," said Wight. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained over more than two decades in the furniture and finance industries that will create many new and exciting capabilities for us to serve our clients."
Before joining the firm, Singer was president of two consumer finance companies and RDR Financial Solutions, a consulting firm that caters to small businesses.
He also spent 20 years as president and owner of Schweig-Engel Co., a furniture, electronics and appliance retail chain in Missouri, where he ran a multi-store operation until 2004.
Singer has also held a senior position in the pharmaceutical industry and served as an economist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
