Daewoo International
Seoul, South Korea — The fabrics division of Daewoo International, a South Korean trading and investment company, has made two management appointments.
Byeong Eun Yoon has been named president and Jae Gon Kim has been named factory manager.
In a letter to customers, Hans Vlessing, chairman, and Ray King, president, of Hans Vlessing International Textile Agencies, which is Daewoo's exclusive sales agent in the United States, said Kim and Yoon "have promised to continue the proud tradition of Daewoo to provide highly functional and good quality fabric at competitive prices."
Tietex Interiors
High Point — Jennifer Harmon has joined fabric supplier Tietex Interiors as vice president of contract, a new post.
President Mike Durham said she will be responsible for the company's design and business initiatives in the contract interiors market, a segment Tietex has targeted for development and which has been experiencing double-digit growth in the past year.
"Jennifer has the creative talent, technical skills and proven leadership experience to address the complex and demanding needs of the sector," Durham said.
She has 15 years design experience in the industry, and most recently was creative manager for hospitality, health care and high performance fabrics at Victor Innovatex. Prior to that, Harmon was design and development director at Chatham.

Cherry House
Louisville, Ky. — Tom Lowenthal has joined retailer Cherry House Furniture Galleries as general manager. He reports to Leslie Whitehouse, president.
Lowenthal has worked in furniture retailing and manufacturing, most recently as vice president of retailer Malouf Furniture in Greenwood, Miss. Earlier, he was director of franchise services and retail operations for Norwalk Furniture.
Zocalo
San Francisco — Furniture manufacturer Zocalo has hired Tasha Rassuli as public relations manager, replacing Amy Neal, former public relations/marketing manager, who left the company.
Rassuli reports to Danny Olivas, director of marketing.
Rassuli, who is new to the furniture industry, spent the past two years as a reporter and editorial assistant with The Birmingham News' sports section in Birmingham, Ala.

Circa 1801
Connelly Springs, N.C. — Tracy Greene has joined fabric source Circa 1801 as a senior designer and jobber manager, a position previously held by Stephanie Wheatley.
Greene's responsibilities will include facilitating jobber needs and contributing to the company's open line and special projects.
Greene, who previously was design director at Mastercraft and Madison Avenue studios, reports to Margaret Coffin, executive vice president of Circa 1801.
