Somerset, N.J. — Upscale Norway-based recliner and upholstery maker Ekornes has opened galleries in stores in New Hampshire and Washington state.
In Manchester, N.H., The Chair Gallery has installed a 1,000-square-foot Ekornes Stressless Zone in its 6,000-square-foot store.
Owned by Mauricio and Sarah Quiroga, the store opened in 2000 to showcase Mauricio's own one-of-a-kind designs, and became known as a resource for modern and contemporary home furnishings. In 2003, The Chair Gallery moved into a larger location in the same historic building in downtown Manchester.
In Bellvue, Wash., Greenbaum Home Furnishings has opened a 1,400-square-foot Ekornes Stressless Zone. The 44,000-square-foot store was launched in 1959 by Ken Greenbaum. He retired in 2005, and his children Cindy, Jon and Steve became second-generation owner-operators.
