Granata is Oxford VP
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 4, 2007
Pontotoc, Miss. — Industry veteran Tom Granata has joined midpriced upholstery maker Oxford Furniture here as vice president of national accounts, a new post.
Company co-founder Ted Carskadden said Oxford's rapid growth and the number of Top 100 accounts prompted his hiring.
"We needed to bring in an experienced person to help us. Tom will service national and larger regional accounts as well as provide input to our merchandising team," he said. Granata reports to Carskadden.
Granata has held posts at Progressive and Pilliod, and owned a warehouse as a Bassett distributor. Before that, he worked for Schweiger, where he handled the Montgomery Ward account.
Oxford opened in late 2004 and built a 102,000-square-foot facility here. A recent expansion doubled its size.
