Select Comfort taps Ibach

Minneapolis — Specialty bedding retailer and manufacturer Select Comfort has hired retail veteran Shelly R. Ibach as U.S. retail channel leader, a new post. She joins the company April 2.

She will have full responsibility for U.S. retail operations, and will oversee sales training, retail merchandising, local marketing, real estate selection and store design.

Ibach most recently was senior vice president and general merchandise manager for Macy's North, a division of Federated Department Stores, responsible for merchandising and marketing home businesses, including furniture. Earlier, she was vice president and merchandise manager for Marshall Field's.

"She brings a demonstrated history of success managing in-store operations and retail merchandising," said Bill McLaughlin, Select Comfort chairman and CEO. "We were particularly impressed with her commitment to developing leaders and teams within large and successful branded retail organizations.
