Serta to enter Russia with Askona partnership

Hoffman Estates, Ill. — Serta International has forged an exclusive partnership with Askona Holding Co., which it said is Russia's leading mattress producer.
As Serta Trading Co., Askona will produce Serta-branded mattresses and boxsprings, including the Sertapedic, Perfect Sleeper and Perfect Day product lines. The Serta products will be introduced to consumers in May at the Furniture Fair in Moscow.
In addition, Serta Trading Co. will be the official supplier of Serta mattresses to a number of well-known hotels in Russia, Serta officials said.
"We are very excited to partner with Askona Holding Co. to introduce the Serta brand into the Russian market," said Bob Malin, vice president of licensing for Serta International. "This is an opportunity to bring the innovation, comfort and quality of our products to the people of Russia for the first time."
Serta Trading Co. will also sell mattresses in Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the Baltic states.
Headquartered in Kovrov, Russia, Askona has two production facilities and six regional warehouses in Russia.
