McBreen joins FBI from Nike
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 11, 2007
St. Louis — Furniture Brands International has hired former Nike executive Michael F. McBreen as vice president, supply chain and logistics.
He replaces Joseph P. McClelland, who resigned. Mickey Holliman, chairman and CEO of the manufacturer and importer, said the separation was by mutual agreement.
Since 2004, McBreen has been a director in global apparel operations and strategic planning for Nike. He joined Nike in 2000 and worked in other supply chain management roles of increasing responsibility. Earlier, he was with accounting and consulting firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers, as a consultant in its manufacturing, consumer products and supply chain management practices.
"Our business model poses many supply chain and logistic challenges," said Holliman. "The opportunity to greatly reduce our costs is significant, and at the same time we must continue to fulfill ever-increasing consumer expectations of a timely and reliable delivery. We expect Mike to have a tremendous impact on our business."
