Warren, Mich. — Amelia Ellenstein has joined the management team at Art Van Furniture's corporate offices as director of visual merchandising.
She is responsible for merchandise presentations in the company's 29 stores. She reports to Gary Van Elslander, co-president.
Washington Design Center
Washington — Edward J. Collins has been promoted to vice president/general manager of The Washington Design Center and the Federal Center Southwest. He is responsible for all building support for the 60 design showrooms and office tenants at the 800,000-square-foot design and government office complex.
Collins has been interim general manager of the complex, which is owned by Merchandise Mart Properties Inc., since May.
He joined MMPI in 1995 as a vice president of leasing at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.

Kathy Ireland Home by Martin
San Diego — Kathy Ireland Home by Martin, a designer and manufacturer of home office and home entertainment goods, has added four associates to its sales team.
They report to Karl Eulberg, vice president of sales.
New team members and their territories are: Brian Coutu, western Pennsylvania; Bruce Marmer, south New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania; David Tuite, Arkansas and Oklahoma; and Drew Nolte of McCaffery & Associates, key big-box retailers worldwide.
Sunbury Textile Mills
New York — Ed Parkerson has retired from Sunbury Textile Mills after 28 years as the company's sales representative in the Southeast.
Rocco J. Simone, senior vice president of sales and marketing, praised Parkerson's attention to detail, work ethic, dependability and professionalism throughout his career, "while attending to Sunbury's most valuable customers."
