Chicago — Robert Crawford III, most recently a marketing executive at Coca-Cola and earlier at Quaker Oats, has joined Brook Furniture Rental as executive vice president.
Crawford, who is the son of Brook founder and CEO Robert Crawford Jr., will be responsible for developing comprehensive marketing initiatives for the company and for managing three of its seven regions.
Brook rents, leases and sells residential and office furniture to individuals and corporations. The company has annual revenues of over $60 million and believes it is the third-largest player in the rent-to-rent segment in the United States. It has offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, Los Angeles and San Diego, Calif.; Chicago; Milwaukee; Washington; Fairfax, Va.; Atlanta; Dallas and Las Vegas.
At Coca-Cola, where he worked for 10 years, the younger Crawford was director of marketing for the Quick Service Restaurant Channel, the largest segment in the beverage giant's North American Foodservice division. Earlier, he was a brand manager at Quaker Oats for six years.
He worked at Brook during junior high, high school and college, including a summer driving a truck for the company in Chicago. Recently, he has been a consultant to the company.
"Bob's familiarity with the company as a consultant, along with his terrific marketing expertise, helps ensure continued growth and success for many years," said the elder Crawford.
