Earlier bookcases had to be 24 inches deep to accommodate the monitor but new bookcases now can be 18 inches deep. Accented with clean lines and a dark midnight finish, the line mixes well in both traditional and contemporary settings.

• Chateau de Vin adds a pop-up monitor unit to computer credenzas that lowers into the desk to hide it for after hours.

Strategy: Broyhill unveils six new home office groups that are additions to best-selling whole home groups. Styles range from casual to traditional. Pieces include an executive desk, credenza desk, credenza hutch and lateral file.
