Des Plaines, Ill. — Jerry Baker has joined manufacturer and importer Schnadig Corp. as vice president of sales.
Baker most recently was executive vice president of marketing, merchandising and national accounts for motion upholstery producer PeopLoungers. Previously, he held sales management positions at Berkline, Ashley and Stanley Furniture.
He succeeds Michael Pitman, who left Schnadig earlier to become president of Durham Furniture.
At Schnadig, Baker reports to Jeff Katz, executive vice president of sales and merchandising.
"We are thrilled to have a seasoned professional such as Jerry Baker join the company," said Katz. "Jerry's experience in the industry, coupled with his high level of integrity, fits perfectly with the strategy and future growth of Schnadig. Jerry will have an immediate impact on the sales and profits of the company."
