  • Boutique, designed by Rob Jones, is an updated traditional collection of nine luxury styles that can be mixed and matched in various leather and fabric combinations. More than 20 high-end fabrics, including chenilles, mohairs and epinglades, will be introduced this market to complement leather offerings.The outside back and arms of pieces must be ordered in leather, but a choice of new fabrics (or leather) can be applied to the seat and back cushions.

  • The Comfort Sleeper model is now available as a true sectional. The Comfort Sleeper has been completely redesigned so it no longer requires a sofa arm to host the mechanism for the bed, allowing it to be incorporated into a true sectional seating piece. Robert and Barbara Tiffany will be designing several new sectionals to complement this new mechanism. They will be giving demonstrations of the new special mechanism during market on Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The mechanism also allows the bed to open and close much easier.

  • Contemporary introductions from new designer Louis Lara.

  • Designer Rick Lee introduces a transitional design, as well as traditional version of his Menlo Park frame.

Marketing programs: New point-of-sales system for retailers includes new displays for leather and fabric swatches.

Company news: The showroom space has been redesigned by Garry Mertins.

  • Leather upholstery with carved rope accents to complement existing Napa case pieces. Sofa, loveseat, club and accent chairs feature rolled arms and nailhead trim, in seven wood finishes.

  • The Prescott motion frame, offered in sectional, sofa, loveseat and club chair styles, is equipped with PushPower motorized motion. The high-back, modified pub model updates a classic look.

  • Two LIV360 PushPower upholstery frames — Interface and Apollo — offer hidden storage and foldaway arms for multi-taskers.

  • Leather/fabric combo sofa (No. B4977) features mock croc leather on high rolled arm, tawny velvet bench seat and pillows with carved wood arm rail and apron.

  • Leather sectional (No. 199L/1992L) for the media room features padded, cabriole-shaped side panels and rolled arms for traditional appeal. Matching tufted leather square cocktail ottoman on high vase-turned feet.

The newly rebranded Fjords adds the No. 620 Ona recliner developed by Jarle Slyngstad, a Norwegian designer. The new recliner features a chrome undercarriage with distinctive sweeping lines. It has a deep, wide seat and back that offer body-hugging comfort with lumbar support, 360-degree swivel and a detached ottoman. The broad back is gracefully balanced with a smaller headrest, which is height adjustable and features Fjords' Active Release System. As the chair reclines, the headrest moves forward slightly to support the head and neck. Available with wood laminate arms or chrome arms and five different base options, including wood or chrome. Matching sofa and loveseat also are available.

  • Focusing on contemporary and vintage-styled wood trim models in leather, fabric and mixed media. Twelve models featured including a sectional with metal legs and five exposed wood chairs.

  • Also, Kings Road, an updated traditional wood trim sofa featuring pull-up, natural-grain buffalo leather with scrolled arms and high legs, with a distressed antique finish and fabric accent pillows, $1,499.

  • Lucien, a French Empire traditional accent chair in full-grain leather with a distressed antique finish, $699.

  • Top-grain leather entries include Cheyenne, a traditional three-piece sofa group, and the Toronto sectional with ottoman on wood base for an urban contemporary look in black or taupe. $1,499 to $1,699.

  • Also, Pebble Beach, an urban contemporary sectional and ottoman, in two-tone leather/microfiber cover, is $1,499 to $1,699.

Mckinley Leather

Emphasizing custom options on all product offerings, as well as its own finely tailored looks.

  • Adding to its J. Neal collection with a seat bench covered in brindle/white hair-on-hide, featuring distressed, hand-rubbed Tuscany wood. The size of this bench — and most other upholstery pieces — can be modified to suit customer specifications.

  • Two armless seating additions include sofa No. 2284 dressed in vegetable-tanned leather with a black walnut finish and kidney bolsters in contemporary Italian fabric; and library chair No. 358 covered in soft two-tone leather, finished in antique cherry wood, with antique brass ferules and casters on front turned legs.

  • New accent chairs.

  • Contemporary Euro-styled pieces with contrast stitching include a sofa in heavyweight pure aniline and chair in aniline. With contrast or matched stitching accents.

  • Because COM (customer's own materials) programs continue to see growth for McKinley, this market features several pieces designed specifically to draw COM business. One correlating grouping features a Charles of London arm, a choice of tight or loose backs and a choice of kick pleat skirt, waterfall dressmaker skirt or no skirt. Adding fabric to existing leather-specific COM, the program will now be offered under the new Nicholas Cole's COM Collection label.

Marketing programs: Committed to domestic production, all products are manufactured in Claremont, N.C., with quick three- to four-week turnaround.

  • Designer Joe Ruggiero's Stamford ottoman, with a broad flat top on traditional English-turned legs with brass casters, is available in a leather or fabric cover.

  • The Candice Olson collection adds the Hollace daybed. Upholstered in leather and trimmed in antique brass nailheads, this low-profile silhouette emphasizes clean lines and spiky legs. Leather pillows.
