Duralee's new Long Island showroom will quadruple space

Syosset, N.Y. — Fabric and furniture source Duralee is moving its showroom from corporate headquarters in Bay Shore, N.Y., to a larger facility here to support its sales growth.
The new showroom, opening this spring, will have 4,200 square feet, compared with the current showroom's 1,000 square feet.
It will showcase all the company's product lines, including Duralee and Highland Court fabrics and Duralee Fine Furniture. It will have dedicated areas for trims, as well as a memo room.
Martin Rosenberger, president, said the Long Island location will be convenient.
"Stark Carpets will be located adjacent to our showroom, giving designers the ability to visit more than one showroom at a time, which on Long Island is difficult to accomplish without getting in your car," he said.
This project is part of Duralee's effort to make its showrooms as designer-friendly as possible. Its Boston and Dallas showrooms also have moved into larger spaces, the company is expanding the Washington showroom, and changes are expected in others as well.
