Rudwall wins Palliser's first Arctic Adventure

Winnipeg, Manitoba — Chuck Rudwall, owner of LeatherOne Furniture, Chattanooga, Tenn., is heading to polar bear country, courtesy of Palliser.
He is the first winner of the leather upholstery producer's Arctic Adventure sales contest, which gives winners a chance to view bears in the Canadian wild.
Rudwall is among the Palliser store owners, managers, head buyers, sales associates and dealers taking part in the competition, which ends June 30.
Mmore winners will be chosen in drawings in at upcoming furniture shows in High Point; Saltillo, Mexico; and at Palliser's home show here. Rudwall was selected at the Toronto show in January.
The five-day trips for two will take place in October. The itinerary includes a tour of Palliser's factory here, a three-day visit to see polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba — "the Polar Bear Capital of the World" — visits to the Eskimo Museum and the Parks Canada Interpretive Center, video presentations from experts, and dog-sledding, said Paul Martens, general manager/creative director, marketing for Palliser.
Secondary prizes include digital camcorders, digital cameras, waterproof binoculars and limited edition photographic prints of polar bears.
To promote the contest, Palliser will give away plush polar bears at the upcoming shows.
