ROANOKE, Va. — Grand Home Furnishings has opened three new stores following its acquisition of the four-store John Eye's Big Sandy Superstores in August.
West Virginia television station WVNSTV reports the stores opened in southern West Virginia's Beckley, and Princeton and Summersville communities.
When the Roanoke, Va.-based Top 100 company announced the John Eye's acquisition in June, it said the four stores ranged from 28,000 square feet to 60,000 square feet. John Eye's Lewisburg, W.Va., store was to be consolidated into Grand's 30,000-square-foot store in the same market.
Grand Executive Vice President Robert Bennett told the station that it was the first time the retailer has acquired a company.
