Tempur Sealy partners with Chicago Bears

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - Even more bears are touting the Tempur-Pedic brand these days. Now the Chicago Bears are getting in on the act.
     The Tempur-Pedic brand, part of the Tempur Sealy International product portfolio, has been using a bear in one of its TV commercials to tout the importance of a good night of sleep on a Tempur-Pedic sleep set.
     Earlier this year, Tempur-Pedic announced that it formed a partnership with the National Football League's Chicago Bears to be the mattress provider for the team's training camp on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, about 60 miles south of Chicago.
     The company outfitted the players' training camp dorm rooms with 125 Tempur-Pedic king-sized beds to ensure they got deep, restorative sleep at night and perform at their best by day on the field, officials said.
     "At Tempur-Pedic, we like to say ‘you are how you sleep' because all of us need a good, relaxing rest to prepare for the day ahead and be our best selves physically and mentally," said Rick Anderson, president of Tempur-Pedic North America. "We're pleased to provide the Chicago Bears players with a comfortable place to sleep after a hard day of practice so they can be at peak performance throughout training camp."
     Added Chris Hibbs, the Chicago Bears' vice president of sales and marketing: "Tempur-Pedic is the ideal partner to ensure our athletes have the extra edge of a better night's sleep."
     Tempur-Pedic also ran a Chicago Bears Bedroom Makeover Sweepstakes, which concluded earlier this year. Consumers entered online for the opportunity to win a Tempur-Ergo Premier adjustable base, and a Tempur-Choice mattress, two pillows and a sheet set.
    Dozens of additional prizes were also awarded, including plush bears, slippers, sleep masks and pillows, officials said.
