Stanley Furniture promotes Richard Broderson to sales manager

HIGH POINT — Case goods resource Stanley Furniture has promoted Richard Broderson to sales manager.
Broderson has been with Stanley for seven years and has previously been international sales manager and field sales representative for both the Stanley and Young America brands.
In his new role, he reports to Kevin Bowman, senior vice president of sales. He will oversee both U.S. and international sales and manage the company's independent sales force.
The company said Stanley has opened new showrooms in Las Vegas and High Point this year, relocated its corporate offices to High Point and launched a new enterprise information system.
Bowman has overseen the development of the EIS over the past 18 months. Launched over the summer, it allows retailers and sales reps to access real-time information on the company's website such as order status, production status and inventory levels.
As Bowman has taken on more of an operational sales role with the company, Broderson has had taken more of a leadership role involving the sales force and other sales activities, officials said.
"As we enter fall market and set our sights for next year, we are now completely focused on refining and executing our operating models making us one of the most customer-friendly companies within our segment of the marketplace," Glenn Prillaman, president and CEO, said in a statement.
