Palecek, Jeffrey Alan Marks to debut collection in fall
Gary Evans -- Furniture Today, August 16, 2012
Palecek is teaming up with celebrity designer Jeffrey Alan Marks for a home furnishings collection that will debut this fall.
California-based Marks is the star of Bravo's Million Dollar Decorator. Marks has been acknowledged by Elle Décor magazine as one of the 2011 "A-List" Top 25 Designers, by House Beautiful magazine as one of the most influential decorators in American history and by Hollywood Reporter as one of "The Town's Most Wanted Decorators."
Jeffrey Alan Marks by Palecek will include furniture, accessories and lighting. Two distinct collections will showcase Marks's coastal and urban design aesthetic, with "an energetic, contemporary vision," according to a press release on the launch. "Each collection embodies the sophisticated elegance, clean lines and classic proportions for which both Jeffrey Alan Marks and Palecek are known," the release continued.
The new product line will be launched at the High Point Market in October.
"We are thrilled to add Jeffrey's design expertise and clean, sophisticated point of view to Palecek's rich product assortment," said Andrew T. Palecek, vice president of Palecek. "With Jeffrey's signature style and refined interpretation of our unique natural materials, he has created a truly distinctive collection unlike any other we have introduced. We are excited to introduce the collection this coming October."
The product launch of Jeffrey Alan Marks by Palecek will coincide with an advertising campaign featuring the new collection, and will precede the debut of the new television season of Bravo's Million Dollar Decorator.
"My desire to partner with Palecek was based on their extraordinary technical ability when working with unusual natural materials," Marks said. "I've designed the pieces in this collection to make the most of Palecek's highly skilled craftsmen to create intricately detailed pieces with simple architectural forms. I could not be more excited to introduce my new silhouettes to the Palecek family."
