Peters joins Hickory Hill

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, March 25, 2007

Paul Peters has been named vice president of marketing for upholstery manufacturer Hickory Hill Furniture.

He reports to Charlie Rice, who is returning to his former position as president and CEO.

Peters previously was president of Cochrane Furniture, which he initially joined in 1986 as a sales representative. He entered the management arena in 2001 when he was named senior vice president of sales and marketing for Clayton Marcus. In 2004, he returned to Cochrane to oversee the sales and marketing operations and recently was promoted to president.

Rice returns as president of Hickory Hill after turning over the reins to Lew English so that he could spend more time marketing the Jaclyn Smith line and other products. English left recently to head Paladin, a startup occasional and upholstery supplier.

"Paul will build on our tradition of designing fashion-forward, lifestyle-based furniture with an eye on fast delivery and the ease of the entire selling process," Rice said.
