20 hotels on WMC’s lodging program for Vegas summer market

Attendees can book online and also register for the upcoming show

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 10, 2007

LAS VEGAS — Twenty hotels at nightly rates ranging from $60 to $245 are on the Las Vegas Market’s host lodging program for the summer show, World Market Center officials said.

All have easy access to the WMC and to the Sands Expo & Convention Center, which will house offsite temporary exhibitors. The WMC and its Pavilions tents will be open July 30-Aug. 3 and the Sands will be open July 31-Aug. 3.

“We have learned which properties and options are most popular with our attendees,” said Michelle Monteferrante, director of tradeshow operations for the WMC. “Our attendees have varied needs and differing budgets. We are fortunate in Las Vegas to be able to offer so many incredible hotel options at great values. There truly is something for everyone.”

Discounted hotel rates can be booked online using the real-time reservation system at www.lasvegasmarket.com. Market officials encourage attendees to book rooms now to ensure availability and the best selection.

There is no minimum stay and all hotels require a one-night deposit. Up to five rooms can be booked through the online system. Larger blocks of rooms for exhibitors and buyer groups with broader needs also are available.

It’s also possible to register for the market now, at www.lasvegasmarket.com or by calling (800) 974-9833 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time, Monday through Friday.

Free M-Line shuttle service will be offered from all host hotels to the WMC complex and the Sands. “We even have a large concentration of hotels to choose from that are within walking distance from our exhibition venue at the Sands,” Monteferrante said.
