Edward Carey joins Theodore Alexander in operations post

Will run Vietnam manufacturing plants

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam — Edward Carey has been named president of Vietnam operations for high-end case goods manufacturer Theodore Alexander.

He will be responsible for manufacturing including wood, upholstery and foundry plants in addition to supply chain functions, quality and human resources.

Carey reports to Harvey Dondero, CEO.

Theodore Alexander owns more than one million square feet of manufacturing space in the Ho Chi Minh City area.

Carey most recently was vice president of Asian operations for Flexsteel/DMI and was based in Shenzhen, China. He formerly was a general manager of its Maitland-Smith's manufacturing operations in the Philippines and was a 20-year employee of that company.

Theodore Alexander also announced it has appointed Antony Maitland Smith vice president of foundry operations. He will be responsible for the company's foundry and management of the metal subcontractors.

He has been with the company for several years, and earlier worked at Maitland-Smith. He will report to Carey.
