American Silk Mills

New York — Roy Marcus has joined American Silk Mills as director of marketing and sourcing, a new position.

Marcus had been with furniture and home furnishings supplier and retailer Ethan Allen as upholstery merchandise manager.

He reports to Robin Slough, president.

Charleston Forge

Boone, N.C. — Charleston Forge has expanded the responsibilities of Monica Peters to include public relations. She reports to Ben Rawls, president.

Peters joined Charleston Forge in May 2006. Her role has been in sales, conducting sales training for key accounts, and developing designer relationships.

Colonial Mills

Pawtucket, R.I. — John Bradshaw has been given additional duties as vice president and national sales manager for rug resource Colonial Mills Inc. He will now manage CMI's entire wholesale sales staff, with a focus on building the business through design innovation, product quality and service.

A 15-year CMI veteran, Bradshaw previously was vice president of national accounts. Before joining CMI, he served as district sales manager in the New England office of WestPoint Stevens, and held various posts at department store Bloomingdale's.

Ducduc

New York — Juvenile furniture producer ducduc has hired Mark Gambino as vice president of sales.

He previously was Western regional sales manager for Stokke and a regional sales manager for HumanScale.

Ikea

Conshohocken, Pa. — Top 100 store Ikea has named Ken Bodeen manager of its Portland, Ore., store, slated to open this summer.

Bodeen joined Ikea in 1999 as assistant store manager of sales in City of Industry, Calif., and then in Covina, Calif.

He also was store manager in Burbank, Calif. Before joining Ikea, he worked for a national retail chain for nine years.
