Fogarty launches marketing consultancy

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 8, 2007

Paula Scott Fogarty, former president of Kindel, has started a marketing and product development consulting company for furniture.

The company, Paula Scott Unlimited, will focus on licensing relationships, product development, marketing, public relations, special events, branding and development of printed or other visual material.

During her 20 years at Kindel she led product development for the manufacturer's licensed collections.

The owners of high-end 18th century reproductions manufacturer Kindel removed Fogarty and her father, Chairman Robert Fogarty, in January. Majority owner John Fisher, 91, and family members took control.

Fogarty said last week she currently has three clients, a retailer, an interior design firm that wants to develop its own brand of home furnishings, and a nonprofit organization.

The company has a staff of three designers and a graphic designer.

"My business is designed to meet my clients' needs, whatever market niche that may be in," Fogarty said.

Her father will serve as advisor to Paula Scott Unlimited.
