Hardwood group elects Jones '07 president

Pittsburgh — Jimmy Jones, of New Bern, N.C.-based J.E. Jones Lumber Co., was elected 2007 president of the Hardwood Manufacturers Assn. during its National Conference and Expo in Charleston, S.C., in March.
Other 2007 officers include Troy Brown, Kretz Lumber Co., Antigo, Wis., first vice president; and Terry Brennan, Baillie Lumber Co., Hamburg, N.Y., second vice president.
Members elected as HMA directors are: Eric Porter, Abenaki Timber Corp., Kingston, N.H.; Richard Wilkerson, Anderson Tully Co., Vicksburg, Miss.; Michael Cersosimo, Cersosimo Lumber Co., Brattleboro, Vt.; Parker Boles, Hermitage Hardwood Lumber Sales, Cookeville, Tenn.; Bruce Reynolds, Rives and Reynolds Lumber Co., Louisville, Miss.; Jonathan Wirth, Walker Lumber Co., Woodland, Pa.; Matt Weaber, Weaber Inc., Lebanon, Pa.; and Gary Ort, Wolf River Lumber, New London, Wis.
HMA directors also elected members of the executive committee. In addition to the officers, they are: David Weyerhaeuser, Northwest Hardwoods, Federal Way, Wash.; Pem Jenkins, Turn Bull Lumber Co., Elizabethtown, N.C.; Larry Thompson, T&S Hardwoods, Milledgeville, Ga.; Gary Ort, Wolf River Lumber, New London, Wis.; and Charlie Netterville, Fred Netterville Lumber Co., Woodville, Miss.
The HMA is the largest national trade organization with membership limited to U.S. hardwood lumber producers and processors. HMA conducts a nationwide program to educate consumers about the lasting value of American hardwood furniture, flooring, cabinetry and millwork.
