By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, April 15, 2007
Algonquin, Ill. — Judy Ann Quye has joined retailer Rec Room Furniture and Games here as president and chief operating officer, a new position.
Quye has nearly 30 years of sales and operations experience, most recently at 155-store Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, where she was senior vice president of sales, operations and installation services.
According to Rec Room, Quye led a comprehensive restrategization of Tweeter, gaining the company national recognition. Earlier, she was an executive at Gap, with responsibility for 3,100 stores under The Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic brands.
"Judy has a proven track record as a revenue leader and a pioneer when it comes to improving the customer experience in-store and in the home," said Rick Weber, chairman and CEO of three-store Rec Room, a retailer of game tables, barstools and other goods. It plans to open a fourth store this summer.
