Wearbest increasing Bella-Dura warranty

Garfield, N.J. — Fabric supplier Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills is increasing the warranty on its Bella-Dura residential performance fabric from three years to five years.
The warranty is issued by American Fibers & Yarns, which produces the proprietary yarn, and Wearbest, which weaves the fabric.
Bella-Dura fabrics, introduced in 2005, are said to exceed contract standards for performance, including a minimum of 1,500 hours lightfastness, bleach cleanability, a minimum of 50,000 double rubs, microbial, mildew and stain resistance, and water repellence.
The product also is available as Bella-Dura Plush, a chenille construction.
Wearbest President and CEO Irwin Gasner said the success of Bella-Dura "led to much more development with AF&Y, and it became clear through our testing data that the fabrics would far exceed the initial tests. We felt compelled to expand the residential warranty to five years, to guarantee to our customer base that the performance features of Bella-Dura are unsurpassed."
"Wearbest is raising the bar with the use of yarn innovation to create the ultimate performance fabric," said Jim Morelli, executive vice president of sales and marketing at AF&Y. "We look forward to the ongoing partnership to develop more advanced fabrics."
Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills recently celebrated 27 years in business as an award-winning jacquard mill.
