High Point — Fabric source King Textiles is expanding its market reach by partnering with the Merryson Group in Asia.
Merryson Group, which includes a weaving mill and several cut-and-sew facilities in China and Taiwan, produces upholstery fabrics, slipcovers, bedding, window coverings, pillows and other soft home products.
The group's annual sales are about $30 million, said Matt Underwood, president of King Textiles.
King, a converter and manufacturer founded in 2000, has grown to 10 employees and 11 sales associates. The company operates a 12,500-square-foot warehouse here.
"We would like to offer more to our current customers with our partnership in China and Taiwan, and at the same time we expect our expansion will help us gain new customers," Underwood said.
