Whitaker joins Fraenkel in new sales mgr. post

Baton Rouge, La. — Emmett Whitaker has joined Fraenkel Co. as sales manager for manufactured products, a new position.
He will be responsible for the sales of Fraenkel's three bedding plants and its Advantage Upholstery division.
Whitaker previously held positions with Leggett & Platt and Serta.
"Emmett brings nearly 20 years of industry sales experience to Fraenkel," said President and CEO Brian Akchin. "He has a track record in sales management as both a supplier and producer. He will be a great addition to the Fraenkel team."
Fraenkel, a 100% employee-owned company, acquired the Advantage upholstery plant in Nettleton, Miss., last year. The bedding division is a partner in Top 10 bedding producer Englander Sleep Products and also produces under its own regional brand, USA Sleep Systems.
