Q Collection sets green fabric line
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, May 7, 2007
New York — Q Collection, known for its sustainable upscale contemporary furniture and textile designs, will debut an eco-friendly contract fabric line at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair here, May 19–22.
The collection is produced in North America with 100% recycled or eco-friendly polyester yarns. A national reclamation program is in place for capturing and recycling excess or used materials, and the colors are achieved with non-toxic dyes.
Crypton Green high-performance barrier finish is available for the line, which also includes 12 chromium-free leathers.
Helen Quinn, director of textile design and development, said her goal for the new collection was "to create a competitively priced, highly durable line of the most environmentally friendly commercial fabrics being woven today."
Q Collection, founded in 2001, has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and the special green issue of Town & Country magazine.
The company will exhibit at ICFF in Booth 1059 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
