4 toy boxes face import duties

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, May 7, 2007

The U.S. Department of Commerce has ruled that four toy boxes imported from China will face antidumping duties at the same rate as wood bedroom furniture made in the same factories. One toy box will escape duties, the agency ruled.

The products now included in the antidumping order are the Cabbage Patch Kids Wooden Toy Box from Toy Vault, the Americana Wood Toy Box with bins from Little Tikes, the Americana Wood Toy Box from Little Tikes, and the Transportation Toy Box from KidKraft.

The DOC determined the Toy Box with Wheels from Fun Times is not included in the antidumping order.

The duties will be paid by the importer of record.
