Jamestown, N.Y. — Ready-to-assemble furniture and case goods producer Bush Inds. has promoted Joe Ruedinger to director of product design, a new post.
He had been principal designer since joining the company from Steelcase in June 2006.
Ruedinger's core responsibilities will be management of the design team. He also will be the principal designer for Bush's commercial office furniture.
He reports to John Cooper, senior vice president of design and sourcing. Cooper will be the company's principal designer for its residential furniture, and will work with Ruedinger to improve the integration of Bush's design team in China with the North American group.
Mike Evans, executive vice president of product leadership and global sourcing, said the changes will strengthen Bush's design efforts and help maintain its focus on developing innovative products.
