Minneapolis — Airbed manufacturer and retailer Select Comfort said Doug Collier has resigned as senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective May 18.
He joined the company in 2005, coming from La-Z-Boy, where he was chief marketing officer and vice president of marketing and furniture galleries development.
Select Comfort said it has no immediate plans to search for a new senior vice president and chief marketing officer, and will evaluate the structure of the position before making a decision.
Chairman and CEO Bill McLaughlin, who has experience in consumer marketing, will work with marketing and research and development executives, and with key marketing partners, including Select Comfort's new creative agency, McKinney+Silver.
"Doug has made valuable contributions to our company, including intensifying our focus on brand awareness and innovation," said McLaughlin. "I personally am appreciative of his leadership, hard work and dedication during his two years with our company."
