Canadel makes staffing changes

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, May 14, 2007

Dining furniture manufacturer Canadel has promoted Stéphane Deschesnes to the new position of vice president of marketing and product development.

Deschesnes has headed the company's buying department for three years. He will report to Canadel's executive committee.

"His experience of buying will be a great asset in the product development area," said Jean Deveault, vice president of sales and marketing.

In addition to his marketing and product duties, Deschesnes will have responsibility for implementing product development systems.

Richard Gingras, a 10-year Canadel veteran, has been promoted to company designer. He will manage a team responsible of realizing and producing all new products. Gingras reports to Deschesnes.

Claude Lamarche, a designer with Canadel for more than 15 years, has retired.

"He will enjoy life and travel," Deveault said. "All the Canadel team thank him for his hard work and commitment and wish him the best for the future."
