MIAMI — Paksnwi Furniture, a case goods manufacturer based in Dongguan, China, has opened a warehouse here to distribute contemporary bedroom and dining room furniture in the U.S. market.
Paksnwi initially will focus distribution efforts on South Florida and the Caribbean, but eventually plans to expand to the northern and western United States and into Texas, a company press release said.
The distribution center has 14,815 square feet and 24-foot ceilings, according to Alex Petruzzelli, a spokesman for the company. He said future plans include an additional U.S. distribution center, although he did not give any possible locations.
The company’s manufacturing plant in China is approximately 140,000 square feet, he added.
While Paksnwi shows at a furniture market in Guangzhou, it has no immediate plans to show in High Point or Las Vegas but is keeping those options open, the release stated.
Previously, Paksnwi only sold direct containers to the United States. But the U.S. contemporary market is growing so rapidly that an expanded presence here is a must, CEO Paksnwi Hu said in the statement.
The company said it has original designs and competitive pricing in modern contemporary styles in wenge and cherry finishes, genuine leather headboards, and smoked glass accents on dressers and night stands. It added that the company has high packaging and product quality standards.
The release stated that Paksnwi has produced furniture for more than 15 years and has supplied some Top 100 stores.
