Peerless Furniture closing in Michigan

Retailer has been in business 85 years

FLINT Mich. — Two-store Peerless Furniture is closing here after 85 years in business, according to a local report.

Owner Jim Pemberton told the local ABC affiliate that the economy left the retailer with no other choice. Peerless will close after a 90-day liquidation sale that begins Friday.
