Gerri Hunt, Staff Staff, May 30, 2005

Inside Out Furniture & Design has named Gabriel Taylor and four others to its management team.

Taylor has joined the retailer as vice president, sales. The son of co-founder Gail Taylor, he previously was in sales management, then store management at Seffner, Fla.-based Rooms To Go.

Also hired are Howard Brown, director of design; Rodney Smith, operations manager; Mike Stephens, distribution center manager; and Nikki Smith, accounting manager. All are new positions.

The new hires reflect an aggressive growth plan for the upscale company, owned by Gail Taylor and CEO Stuart Kaplan.

The 11-year-old store is doubling the size of its showroom to 14,000 square feet and building a new distribution center amid a housing boom for this barrier island near Pensacola, Fla.

A grand reopening of the store is set for May 20.
