MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. — Retail furniture and interior design showroom McQueen's Interiors held its fourth annual Vendor Appreciation Day here, hosting representatives from more than 30 vendors.
Jimmy Hayworth, left, John Thomas Furniture/Stanley Chair, and Trey Zimmerman, Lexington Home Brands.
Retailer Dana McQueen, left, welcomes George Braun of Stein World and Pat Lee of Braxton Culler.
Ben Steed, left, Capris Furniture; Gary Mullis, Vanguard Furniture; and Frank Caldwell, Four Seasons Furniture.
The second-generation operation celebrated with breakfast, lunch and cocktails.
McQueen's staff of six interior designers spent the day working with the various reps on placing orders and looking at new market introductions.
McQueen's offered hourly door prizes, homemade pepper jelly by owner Dana McQueen and a fun time for those attending, many of whom expressed their gratitude for the event.
"I wanted to thank you for the wonderful hospitality you showed Pam Stallings and myself yesterday!" Chandra sales rep Michael Heath said in an email to McQueen. "In all of my years on the road I have never attended a retailer event geared to their vendors. It is a true breath of fresh air certainly to me and I know to all of your vendor partners!"
