Calhoun, Ga. - Home accessories and rug brand Surya is unveiling new novelty rug collections developed in partnership with Belgian-based design firm Papilio during High Point Market Oct. 19-24.
Each of the new collections features is crafted from recycled materials and interesting construction techniques, according to the company.
Papilio's rug designs incorporate fibers such as bamboo, banana and camel wool, along with less common materials like newspaper, used cardboard and Indian saris, to provide a range of eco-conscious options.
The rugs are grouped into lifestyle collections, each of which hits a range of price points to make them accessible to a variety of consumers and meet Papilio's philosophy that "Design doesn't have to be expensive."
Christophe Vervaeke, vp of product development, R&D, Papilio, said: "Based on the depth of the Surya line, and the level of service the company provides to its expansive customer base, we believe that Surya will be a strong advocate for the marketing of our products within the U.S. while remaining true to the Papilio brand. Like Papilio, Surya is an innovator and is committed to offering its customers products across a range of lifestyles and price points to ensure that they always have access to the latest trends and designs."
