Sleep accessories tackle snoring, aromatherapy

LAS VEGAS - Sleep accessory introductions here span the gamut from mattress and pillow protection lines and programs to adjustable bed bases to pillows.
Protect-A-Bed aims to cut down on snoring with its new SnoreBeGone sleep positioning system. The system is made with three layers of foam, the middle one of which can be removed to adjust the sleeper's position to maintain correct posture during sleep. A detachable and adjustable headrest and detachable arm rests ensure optimal comfort, the company says.
Protect-A-Bed also is introducing its Signature Series, a new waterproof fitted sheet-style mattress protector designed to provide a natural and pure sleep surface.
Fabrictech International is introducing aromatherapy products with its new protector line, PureCare Aromatherapy. The mattress and pillow protectors feature patent- pending pockets in which scented sachets are placed. The aromas include lavender, Mandarin, sandalwood, eucalyptus and jasmine. The sachets will retail for about $6 each and can be purchased through the retailer or directly from Fabrictech.
"Relaxation is essential to a good night's sleep," said Jeff Bergman, president of Fabrictech. "Our scented sachets infuse the sleep environment with calming scents, helping to release anxieties and relax breathing."
Wright Global Graphic Solutions, showing in the BrandSource showroom in World Market Center B-1062, is introducing a line of foot protectors that use LED lights embedded into the fabric. They can be programmed to illuminate specific features in sequence or to blink on and off, thereby adding light and motion to retail floors.
"Research indicates that adding light to any product display increases customer engagement by 68%, making it a very cost-effective way to attract consumers to a product," said Don Wright, senior vice president of business development at Wright Global Graphic Solutions. "Savvy retailers and manufacturers know it is extremely important to capture the attention of shoppers while they are in the decision-making process. These foot protectors are an innovative extension to our popular lighted display systems and another example of the many creative solutions for which our company is known."
Caber Sure Fit is introducing its Mattress Care by DreamSerene program, a protection plan designed to increased retail sales and stimulate consumer loyalty. The program includes a 100% cost coverage rebate for a mattress that is exchanged due to a permanent stain in the event that the mattress protector fails.
Bernard Weinstein, Caber Sure Fit's president, says the program provides consumers with "an added insurance policy."
Reverie is showing a new high-tech adjustable base, the 7S, which features integrated Made for Mobile technology. A patent-protected remote app is compatible with any mobile device and enables wireless control of the Reverie base, as well as other bedroom appliances like televisions and lamps that are plugged into the company's adaptors.
Martin Rawls-Meehan, president of Reverie, says his company is "reinventing the next generation of adjustable bases."
Glideaway is expanding its top-of-bed offerings with its new Comfort Premier mattress protector, which is made from natural wool with a Silpure silver treatment. It retails at $129.
Glideaway now offers a "basic, good, better, best" protector program, part of a move to give its dealers a larger selection to sell, said Ron Fredman, executive vice president of sales.
Seahawk Designs is introducing an adjustable bed base option and a new sleigh bed design. Both beds offer the option of a rigid platform deck or a Leggett & Platt brand adjustable power base designed exclusively for these models, the company said.
