Guildcraft of California executives honored

LOS ANGELES — More than 500 members of the home furnishings industry took part in the 16th annual West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament last month to benefit City of Hope.
After a day on the greens and courts of Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club, attendees honored the achievements and contributions of four executives from manufacturer Guildcraft of California: Sidney Blitz, Larry Quilling, Arthur Fink and Robert “Bobby” Papazian.
The event raised $900,000 to help support the lifesaving research, treatment and education programs at City of Hope. Since its inception, the West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament has raised close to $5 million for the institution.
Created more than 40 years ago by a group of industry leaders who wanted to help fund the search for a cure for cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, City of Hope’s National Home Furnishings Industry chapter has grown to include representatives from all facets of the industry. To date, the group has raised more than $40 million for City of Hope.
