Furniture Hall of Fame nominations accepted until July 27
Voting set for Aug. 20-Sept. 5; induction banquet is Oct. 2 in High Point

HIGH POINT — The American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation will accept nominations for inductions from now until July 27.
“We are targeting leaders who have made notable contributions to the health and wealth of the American furniture industry,” said J. Don Coleman, president of the foundation and also president of Hickory Springs Mfg.
Only members of the organization are eligible to nominate and vote. To make a nomination, members should submit a biography of the candidate (500 words or less), a nomination form and a black-and-white or color photo. Nominations submitted without photography will be accepted, but a photo will be needed before induction.
Nominations must be seconded in writing by another Hall of Fame Foundation member. Candidates may be nominated and elected posthumously. There is a one-time nomination fee of $500 to cover photography and video production costs. There is no charge for re-nominations from previous years.
Voting will take place Aug. 20 to Sept. 5.
New members will be announced and officially inducted into the Hall of Fame at the annual banquet celebration Oct. 2, during the High Point Market.
Members will receive nomination forms in the mail. Additional forms will be available at the AFHF offices at 202 Neal Place in High Point, by calling (336) 882-5900 or by e-mailing info@furniturehalloffame.com.
Memberships are $250 and $500 at the individual level, and $500 and $1,000 at the corporate level. All contributions are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to the American Furniture Hall of Fame Foundation Inc. and sent to P.O. Box 2011, High Point, N.C. 27261.
