Daniel Lynch Sales shortens name

Grand Rapids, Mich. — Sales promotion firm The Daniel Lynch Sales Co. has changed its name to the Lynch Sales Co., and has a new logo.
"This is more than just a name change," said Jud Lynch, the company's co-CEO with his brother Chris. "While the name change is subtle, it reflects our continued commitment to the furniture industry and our clients, even as our business grows in diversity and sophistication."
It's only the fourth time the company has changed its name since it was founded in 1914 as the Joseph P. Lynch Sales Co., named after its founder. In 1945, it became Lynch Brothers Sales Co. as Joseph's sons, Daniel and Phillip, took the reins.
In 1979, the name was changed to The Daniel Lynch Sales Co. to reflect Philip's departure and the entry of Daniel's three sons, Dan Jr., Judson and Chris.
While Lynch has been best known for orchestrating going-out-of-business sales, the company said that today it frequently works for clients looking to maintain or increase their growth while staying in business. The company serves retailers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
