High Point — Case goods importer Magnussen Home Furnishings has hired Charles Aurich as vice president of global manufacturing, a new position.
He was at Lexington Home Brands since 2001, most recently as general manager for international operations in Hong Kong and previously as director of quality for domestic operations. Earlier, he was a product manager for Truth Hardware and a plant manager for Stanley Furniture.
At Magnussen Home, Aurich will be based in Hong Kong and reports to Richard Magnussen, president and CEO.
In addition to leading the company's quality and supply teams, he will create global supply chain management and quality management programs and identify new sourcing and supply opportunities.
"Charles has a successful track record of building and leading effective global manufacturing and quality initiatives," said Magnussen, "and will play an integral role in helping us achieve our goal of 'on time, on quality and on cost'."
