Magnussen Home

High Point — Magnussen Home Furnishings has promoted 19-year company veteran Bruce Ballantyne to chief financial officer.

He reports to Richard Magnussen, president and CEO of the furniture importer. Ballantyne will oversee corporate assets and help drive growth, the company said.

Ballantyne joined Magnussen Home in 1988 as vice president, finance and administration. He helped implement the company's first computer system and its expansion into the U.S. market.

He also developed the company's human resources department, created a profit- sharing plan, and developed planning and reporting systems.

"Bruce has a broad understanding of the furniture business and a great analytical mind," Magnussen said.
