Boston — More than 160 people turned out to meet decorating diva and Norwalk Furniture designer Candice Olson at the WCVB Concept Home here to benefit the Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps.
The Corps is a child welfare agency that provides services including counseling and therapy, and an educational program that helps hundreds of at-risk children every year. It also has residential programs providing a haven for children who come from unstable or unsafe homes.
Olson visited the home to greet fans, sign copies of her new book, "Candice Olson on Design: Inspiration & Ideas for Your Home," and show pieces from her Norwalk upholstery collection.
The line is available exclusively here at Circle Furniture, which raised $2,400 to benefit the charity through ticket sales to a cocktail party in Olson's honor. The designer also visited the Circle Furniture store in Danvers, Mass., to make a presentation on design.
