New York — Kravet will launch a licensed line of Calvin Klein Home decorative fabrics in summer 2008, catering to the interior design community.
Kravet has entered into a licensing program with Calvin Klein Inc. to manufacture and distribute a line of fabrics, including multipurpose and upholstery wovens, window fabrics and decorative trimmings.
The collection, under development for the past 18 months, will have up to 200 SKUs and will be distributed in Kravet's 31 corporate showrooms and 35 representative showrooms.
"The design level will be of the same caliber as our Joseph Abboud and Barbara Barry collections," said Scott Kravet, a principal of Kravet. "It will reflect the apparel influence of the Calvin Klein classic traditional with global influences."
Designs will reflect modern, natural, textural and multipurpose constructions with influences of a Zen palette, Kravet said.
