Sleep Solutions can ship on containers with upholstery

AT THE MARKET — Global Furniture USA is introducing an imported mattress line here called Sleep Solution, with the ambition of building it into a top 10 brand.
A key selling point for the line is that the mattresses can be shipped from China in containers mixed with upholstered furniture from Global, said Alex Vaysman, CEO of the contemporary case goods and upholstery importer and distributor.
About 10 models are in the showroom here. Vaysman said that eventually, Sleep Solutions will be an extensive collection of innerspring and memory foam mattresses at “virtually every price point and quality, from extreme promotional to luxurious upscale.”
Initially, the line is in stock only at Global’s U.S. headquarters in East Brunswick, N.J., but will be in stock later this year at the company’s other U.S. warehouses in Florida, Texas and California. Mattresses are available by container and by individual order, for pick up or delivery by Global.
“Global’s goal is to underprice the major U.S. and Chinese bedding manufacturers, providing comparable quality at a significantly lower wholesale price,” Vaysman said. “We will achieve this objective by taking advantage of our highly efficient manufacturing and supply chain systems developed over years of experience. We have an on-time delivery track record that is among the most accurate in the industry.”
He said Sleep Solutions has gotten a “very good reaction” from buyers here this week, and the company has already picked up some retail accounts.
He said he expects the line will grow to about 25 SKUs within a year. Two of the 10 current SKUs are memory foam, and Vaysman said the line is likely to remain 15% to 20% foam, with the majority innerspring.
